Graduate Support Engineer
A fantastic opportunity for a Graduate Support Engineer to join an innovative technology company, supporting the deployment and ongoing operation of its products for customers. Joining a small, growing team, you will gain hands-on experience across infrastructure, monitoring, and technical support, with training provided. This role would suit a new or recent STEM graduate who enjoys solving technical problems, learning new technologies, and communicating with customers.
Due to the nature of some client projects, you must be willing and eligible to obtain DV Security Clearance. This generally requires a long-term UK residency history (typically 10+ years) and the ability to pass government security vetting. You can join the team and work on other commercial projects while your clearance application is progressing.
Location: North Uttlesford / Greater Cambridge area, fully on-site five days per week
Salary: £30,000 to £40,000 per annum
Requirements for Graduate Support Engineer:
- Top academic history, looking for a 2:1 or above in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or another STEM subject, along with a minimum of AAB at A level, or international equivalent
- Excellent communication skills and confidence speaking with customers and external stakeholders
- Ability to work independently while contributing towards shared team objectives
- Ability and enthusiasm to learn new technologies quickly
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage work across multiple projects
- A full UK driving licence, or a commitment to obtaining one within six months of starting
- Experience with AWS, Prometheus, computer networking, or Linux would be beneficial, although prior experience with these technologies is not essential

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
