About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and ambitious Graduate General Practice Surveyor to join our expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the start of their surveying career to gain broad experience across a range of property disciplines, working alongside experienced Chartered Surveyors and developing the technical, professional and client-facing skills required to build a successful career in general practice surveying.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Chartered Surveyors across a diverse range of general practice instructions, including valuation, lease advisory, agency, property management and development.
- Undertake property inspections and site visits, accurately recording measurements, condition, accommodation and other relevant property information.
- Assist with the preparation of valuation reports, market appraisals, rental advice, property particulars and other professional documentation.
- Support the team with comparable evidence, market research and wider property and location analysis.
- Assist with lease advisory instructions, including rent reviews, lease renewals and general landlord and tenant matters, as experience develops.
- Support commercial and residential agency instructions, including property inspections, market research, viewings and client reporting.
- Assist with land and development instructions, including site appraisals, research and market analysis.
- Maintain accurate records of client instructions, property information, inspections and appointments within company systems.
- Liaise professionally with clients, occupiers, agents, contractors and colleagues, arranging inspections and following up enquiries promptly.
- Attend internal and external meetings and provide clear and concise updates on allocated matters.
- Ensure compliance with internal procedures and relevant professional and regulatory requirements, including anti-money laundering checks where required.
- Develop an understanding of current property market conditions, legislation, professional standards and best practice.
- Take an active role in professional development and work towards RICS accreditation through the APC pathway.

Person Specification
- Degree in Real Estate, Surveying, Property, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- An interest in developing a broad career within general practice surveying and a willingness to gain experience across different areas of the property sector.
- Strong numerical, analytical and report-writing skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Confident communicator, able to interact professionally with clients, colleagues and other property professionals both verbally and in writing.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook, and comfortable learning new property and valuation systems.
- Organised and able to manage multiple priorities, plan site visits and meet deadlines.
- Self-motivated, adaptable and eager to learn, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Commercially aware, with an interest in the property market and the factors that influence property values and demand.
- Full UK driving licence
