Company Description

Copping Joyce is a long-established real estate advisory firm, founded in 1898, providing services across the UK. The company offers a comprehensive range of professional services including valuations, healthcare property consultancy, affordable housing, investment acquisitions and disposals, and LPA receivership. Development consultancy is also a key part of the business, supporting clients through all stages of the property lifecycle. Joining Copping Joyce means working within a respected, multidisciplinary team with exposure to diverse property sectors and clients.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Graduate Surveyor role based in London within the Commercial Agency team. The role involves assisting with the marketing and disposal of commercial properties, including:

The Graduate Surveyor will support senior colleagues with:

  • Leasing and sale negotiations
  • Preparing heads of terms
  • Maintaining transaction records

Day-to-day tasks include:

  • Carrying out market research
  • Analysing comparable evidence
  • Updating databases
  • Preparing reports and presentations for clients

The role also includes:

  • Liaising with clients, solicitors, and other stakeholders
  • Attending site visits and inspections
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of agency processes

Qualifications

  • Strong analytical and research abilities, including market analysis, data interpretation, and report preparation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client liaison, negotiations, and collaborative teamwork.
  • Good organisational and time-management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple assignments.
  • Commercial awareness and interest in the real estate sector, particularly commercial agency and investment markets.
  • Proficiency with standard office software (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ability to learn property-specific systems.
  • Relevant degree in Real Estate, Property, Planning, or a related discipline; progress toward RICS accreditation is advantageous.
  • Willingness to undertake site visits, inspections, and client meetings across London and, where required, nationwide.
  • Self-motivated, professional attitude, and commitment to ongoing learning and development within a supportive team environment.
