Wareing and Company, founded in 2001, is a respected firm of independent property consultants, chartered surveyors, and valuers based in the heart of Royal Leamington Spa, Warwickshire. The company delivers commercial property services across the Midlands, with a particular focus on the upper M40 and M42 corridors. Wareing and Company advises institutional and private property owners, developers, occupiers, and investors. Services cover all aspects of the sale, letting, and acquisition of commercial, industrial, and distribution properties and related investments. The firm is known for professional expertise, local market knowledge, and a client-focused approach.

Role Description

The Graduate Surveyor will support senior surveyors with the valuation, marketing, and management of commercial, industrial, and distribution properties and investments. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting with inspections, preparing reports and valuation documents, compiling market research, and helping to coordinate sales, lettings, and acquisitions. The role also involves maintaining accurate records, liaising with clients and stakeholders, and contributing to property marketing materials and transactional documentation. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Royal Leamington Spa, providing structured training and exposure to a broad range of commercial property work.

  • Relevant academic background in Real Estate, Property Management, Land Management, or a closely related discipline.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills for valuations, market appraisals, and investment analysis.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills for reports, client correspondence, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Good organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple instructions and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency with standard office software (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook) and the ability to learn property-related IT systems.
  • Sound attention to detail and a methodical approach to inspections, documentation, and data entry.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a small professional team and build positive client relationships.
  • Interest in commercial property markets in the Midlands and willingness to develop professional expertise.
  • Full UK driving license and readiness to travel for property inspections and client meetings where required.
  • Working toward or interest in pursuing RICS accreditation (APC) is highly desirable.
