Do you have what it takes to join our Commercial, Investment & Property Management team?
We're looking for a motivated, ambitious and commercially minded Graduate Surveyor to join our growing Investment & Property Management team in September 2027.
Based at our Head Office in Cambridge, you'll gain hands-on experience across a diverse portfolio while working alongside industry-leading experts and building the foundations of a successful surveying career.
Bidwells' Commercial Division is a market leader across the Oxford-Cambridge Arc and the UK's thriving Science & Technology sector. With offices in Cambridge, Oxford, Milton Keynes and Norwich, we advise some of the country's most innovative occupiers, investors, developers and landowners across the South East and East of England.
Our heritage is rooted in advising the Oxbridge Colleges on the management of their endowments. Today, we apply that same expertise to a wide range of assets, including offices and laboratories, industrial and logistics facilities, alternative residential sectors and major mixed-use development projects in some of the UK's most dynamic and fast-growing markets.
What you’ll be doing
As part of the Investment & Property Management team, you'll have the opportunity to work on high-profile instructions, develop strong client relationships and gain exposure to a broad range of property management and investment activities, providing an excellent platform for your APC journey and long-term career development.
Duties
The specifics of what you do will depend on what team you are based in, be that Property Management, Asset & Investment Management or Agency. Duties will vary but will involve some aspects of the below:
- Undertaking research, analysing data and presenting findings and recommendations.
- Undertaking property inspections and/or viewings.
- Liaising with clients and tenants, attending client meetings and contributing to pitches.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant property and health and safety legislation, maintaining property records on relevant software.
- Working collaboratively with Bidwells multidisciplinary teams to maximise our clients’ assets.
- Appraising property assets, supporting the undertaking of valuations, lease renewals and rent reviews.
- Supporting with the preparation of marketing strategies.
- Supporting with the co-ordination of transactions through to completion.
What you’ll achieve
As a Graduate Surveyor within our Investment & Property Management team, you'll gain hands-on experience across a broad range of projects while working alongside experienced professionals. You'll develop your technical expertise, build client relationships, contribute to project delivery and work towards achieving RICS Chartered status.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
