The Opportunity

An excellent opportunity for an ambitious Graduate Surveyor to join an established and highly regarded Retail Lease Advisory team in London.

The role would suit someone with at least 12 months' experience within commercial property who has completed a Real Estate degree and is looking for a business where they can develop their technical expertise, gain meaningful client exposure and complete their APC to become MRICS qualified.

You'll work alongside experienced surveyors on a varied portfolio of retail property, gaining hands-on experience across rent reviews, lease renewals and wider lease advisory instructions.

The Role

Working as part of the Retail Lease Advisory team, your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with rent review and lease renewal instructions on behalf of landlords and occupiers
  • Undertaking property inspections and preparing supporting reports
  • Carrying out rental and comparable evidence analysis
  • Researching retail property markets and transactions
  • Assisting with negotiations between landlords and tenants
  • Preparing client reports, advice and recommendations
  • Supporting senior surveyors on more complex lease advisory instructions
  • Developing relationships with clients, agents and other property professionals
  • Maintaining accurate property and transactional data
  • Working towards completing your APC and achieving MRICS status

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Direct lease advisory experience would be advantageous, but isn't essential where someone has gained strong transferable commercial property experience and can demonstrate a clear desire to specialise in Retail Lease Advisory.

Why Apply?

This is an opportunity to build a long-term career within a specialist team where you'll receive structured APC support, direct exposure to experienced surveyors and genuine involvement in client work from an early stage.

For someone at the beginning of their surveying career who wants to specialise in Retail Lease Advisory and progress towards MRICS, the role offers an excellent platform for development.
