Graduate Systems Analyst
Location: London (Hybrid working)
Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 + discretionary bonus & comprehensive benefits package
Our client is a multinational commodities trading group with a long-established presence across global markets. As part of continued investment in technology, systems, and automation, they are seeking a Graduate Systems Analyst to join their London team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional with a background in finance, accounting, technology, or a related discipline who is looking to build a career across systems development, automation, and business technology.
Responsibilities
- Work with finance and operational teams to understand existing processes, requirements, and areas for improvement
- Support the design and development of applications and automation solutions across business workflows
- Use programming and cloud technologies to build, test, and deploy practical systems solutions
- Maintain, support, and enhance existing applications and internal tools
- Translate business requirements into clear and workable technical solutions
- Investigate system, data, and process issues and help implement effective solutions
- Support the introduction of appropriate controls, documentation, development standards, and governance
- Assist with process automation initiatives aimed at improving efficiency across finance and operations
- Take ownership of individual tasks and projects within a fast-paced commercial environment
- Develop a strong understanding of the organisation’s trading, finance, and operational processes while continuing to build technical capability

Requirements

- Degree-level education, ideally within Finance, Accounting, Economics, Computer Science, IT, or a related discipline
- Graduate or early-career professional with approximately 1-3 years of experience within audit, accounting, finance, finance systems, technology, or a related environment
- Good understanding of finance or accounting processes would be advantageous
- Proficiency in a programming language such as Python, with the ability to apply it to practical business problems
- Exposure to Microsoft Azure, including building or deploying solutions, would be highly beneficial
- Genuine interest in systems development, automation, technology, and process improvement
- Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Curious, proactive, and comfortable taking ownership of tasks
- Keen to develop a long-term career within technology and business systems
