Role Description

The Graduate Systems & Automation Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in London. The role involves supporting the design, implementation, and maintenance of automation and control systems used in client environments. Day-to-day tasks include:

The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate robotics and control systems, document procedures, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. The position also includes learning and applying best practices in security, safety, and reliability while working directly with clients and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Skills in Automation and Process Control, including basic system design, configuration, and optimization.
  • Skills in Electrical Engineering and Robotics, with an understanding of control circuits, sensors, actuators, and robotic integration.
  • Strong Troubleshooting skills, including diagnosing system faults, analyzing data, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Relevant degree in Engineering (e.g., Electrical, Automation, Mechatronics, Systems) or a closely related technical discipline.
  • Familiarity with PLCs, SCADA, industrial communication protocols, or similar automation platforms is beneficial.
  • Ability to interpret technical documentation and engineering drawings, and to produce clear, accurate reports.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with attention to detail and safety standards.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities, and willingness to learn from mentors in a dynamic environment.
