Graduate Teaching Assistant – English, Maths, Science & Humanities

September 2026 Start | Secondary Schools Across the Borough of Lambeth, South London

Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum

KPI Education is working alongside a number of high-performing and improving secondary schools across Lambeth who are recruiting ambitious graduates to join their teaching support teams this September.

Whether you studied English, Mathematics, Science (Biology, Chemistry or Physics), History, Geography, Religious Studies or another Humanities subject, this is an excellent opportunity to gain invaluable classroom experience before embarking on teacher training.

Graduate Teaching Assistant Responsibilities

  • Support pupils in your specialist subject across KS3 & KS4
  • Deliver intervention sessions to small groups and individual students
  • Assist teachers with lesson preparation and classroom delivery
  • Build confidence, engagement and attainment in your subject area
  • Become an integral member of a successful secondary school department
  • Gain valuable classroom experience before progressing into teacher training

We are looking for graduates with:

  • A 2:1 or above in English, Maths, Science or a Humanities subject (2:2 considered with strong experience)
  • A genuine passion for education and working with young people
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ambition to train as a teacher in the future
  • The ability to build positive relationships with pupils
  • The right to work in the UK (Unfortunately, sponsorship is unavailable)
