Speech & Language Graduate - SEND & SEMH Schools

Location: Bury

Contract: Full-time / Part-time

Start Date: September 2026 / ASAP

Salary: £107.71–£111.85 per day

We are looking for Speech & Language Therapy graduates and graduates with relevant speech, language and communication experience to join a range of SEND and SEMH schools across Bury.

You will work closely with teachers, SENCOs and support staff to provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with a range of additional needs, including speech and language difficulties, autism, communication needs, SEMH and behavioural needs.

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Supporting pupils with speech, language and communication needs
  • Delivering targeted interventions and structured activities
  • Supporting pupils' communication, confidence and social skills
  • Building positive relationships with pupils and encouraging engagement
  • Supporting classroom learning and individual learning plans
  • Helping pupils develop their social, emotional and behavioural skills
  • Working as part of a wider SEND support team

We are particularly interested in graduates with:

  • A Speech & Language Therapy / Speech and Language Sciences degree
  • Experience working with children or young people
  • Experience supporting SEND, SEMH or communication needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A patient, calm and child-centred approach
  • A genuine interest in developing a career within SEND education
