Technical Engineer

As a Technical Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting both manufacturing and engineering teams through the development, improvement, and implementation of technical design solutions. You will be involved in product design, technical detailing, manufacturing support, and continuous improvement projects, ensuring products meet customer requirements, industry standards, and production objectives.

Working closely with production, quality, procurement, and engineering teams, you will contribute to the successful delivery of projects from concept through to manufacture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce detailed engineering drawings and technical documentation
  • Support manufacturing teams with design and technical queries
  • Develop design improvements to enhance product performance and manufacturing efficiency
  • Interpret customer requirements and technical specifications
  • Create and amend 2D and 3D CAD models
  • Work collaboratively with production, procurement, and quality teams
  • Assist with new product introductions and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensure designs comply with relevant standards and internal procedures
  • Support problem-solving activities across manufacturing operations

What You'll Need

  • Degree, HND, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Previous experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment
  • Strong CAD experience (SolidWorks, AutoCAD or similar)
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
