Your Role And Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll help run what runs the world, by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact.

Work Model

Daresbury, Warrington (Office-based)

  • Support the preparation of technical and commercial proposals for ABB Motion Service opportunities.
  • Review customer enquiries, specifications, and project requirements, working closely with experienced team members.
  • Assist in developing cost estimates, quotations, and tender submissions that balance customer requirements with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with engineering, sales, project, and service teams to gather information required for bid submissions.
  • Ensure proposals are accurate, professionally presented, and submitted within agreed deadlines.
  • Participate in technical discussions and customer meetings where appropriate.
  • Maintain tender documentation, opportunity records, and internal systems to ensure accurate reporting and effective knowledge sharing.
  • Continuously develop your technical, commercial, and industry knowledge through training, mentoring, and hands-on experience.
  • Contribute ideas for process improvements and support the team's commitment to operational excellence.
  • Uphold ABB's values and commitment to quality, health and safety, integrity, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications For The Role

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • Recent graduate or early-career professional interested in engineering, tendering, sales support, or commercial engineering.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret technical information and develop practical solutions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
  • A proactive mindset with a willingness to learn, take ownership, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of electric motors, drives, or industrial automation technologies.
  • Previous internship, placement, or project experience within an engineering environment.
