Description

The Graduate Trainee role is designed to develop future talent within Achilles by providing broad exposure across key business functions, including:

  • Client engagement and account support
  • Sales and business development
  • Supplier audit and compliance
  • Data, ESG, and supply chain risk analysis

The role offers structured development, enabling graduates to build commercial awareness, technical expertise, and client-facing skills, with a pathway into a permanent specialist or leadership role.

Key Responsibilities

Client & Account Support

  • Assist Account Managers in maintaining client relationships
  • Respond to client queries and provide service support
  • Support client onboarding and ongoing engagement
  • Contribute to client reporting and insights

Sales & Commercial Support

  • Support lead generation and pipeline development
  • Conduct market and competitor research
  • Assist with proposals, presentations, and pitches
  • Collaborate with sales teams to identify growth opportunities

Audit & Compliance Support

  • Assist in supplier audits and assurance processes
  • Review supplier documentation for compliance
  • Support ESG and risk assessments
  • Ensure accurate data capture in Achilles systems

Data Analysis & Insight

  • Analyse supply chain data and identify trends or risks
  • Support reporting for internal teams and clients

Qualifications

  • Degree or equivalent

Person Specification

Core Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal)
  • Attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Ability to build relationships and collaborate
  • Commercial awareness and curiosity

Technical/Desirable Skills

  • Basic understanding of ESG, sustainability, or compliance
  • Familiarity with Excel or data tools
  • Interest in supply chain, procurement, or risk management
  • Knowledge of CRM systems (desirable but not essential)
