We have an exciting roadmap ahead for new products, services, production capacity and business expansion. As a result of this continued success, we are expanding our finance team in Campsie. We currently have an opportunity for a Graduate Trainee Accountant.
About the Position
Job Title: Graduate Trainee Accountant Programme
Job Type: Fulltime-Permanent
Job Location: Campsie, Northern Ireland
Reporting To: Financial Controller
Position Overview
Each year across our sites we recruit a select number of high-quality graduates who display real management potential. A First-class or 2:1 Honours degree or equivalent are required, preferably in finance or business-related degree.
Graduates work in an environment where from day one you will be adding value to our business by working in a real job, with real responsibility. Most learning will be in the form of on-the-job coaching from experienced colleagues and will also incorporate selected project work. There is also opportunity to participate in structured training programmes to assist you with both your work and studies.

Responsibilities
As a graduate accountant, you’ll support the delivery of a high-quality finance service to our local Campsie team while gaining exposure to a wide range of financial processes and stakeholders.
Responsibilities will include:
- Working collectively with the local and central finance team in delivering the month end close.
- Support weekly and monthly reporting for the site and associated brands, helping to explain variances against budget, forecast and prior periods.
- Support inventory accounting activities, including stock adjustments, inventory revaluation and purchase price variance analysis.
- Work with various teams including operations, production and sales to understand business drivers behind financial results and provide timely finance support.
- Use systems to extract, analyse and present financial and operational data in a clear and accurate manner.
- Contribute to continuous improvement projects by identifying opportunities to simplify finance processes, improve reporting accuracy and reduce manual effort.
- Maintain compliance with internal controls, SOX requirements and standard finance procedures.
- Support capital expenditure tracking and review, including spend monitoring, project cost analysis, approval support and ensuring appropriate financial documentation is maintained.
- Provide ad hoc analysis and support to the Financial Controller and wider finance team, including preparation of management information, presentations and decision-support analysis.
Requirements – Education/Experience
- Recent graduate with First Class or 2:1 Honours Degree or equivalent (preferably in an Accountancy or business-related degree).
- Intention to pursue and obtain professional exams (CIMA or Chartered Accountants Ireland).
- Strong computer skills including Excel.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Positive and energetic.
- Must be a team player able to demonstrate strong customer focus with the energy, drive and commitment to successfully work through any and all issues and objectives related to this role and that of the overall team.
