About Us

De Mellow & Co is a Chartered Financial Planning Practice with offices in Hambledon, helping individuals, families, and business owners make confident decisions about their financial future.

Founded in 1990 by Chris de Mellow, we have built our reputation on providing clear, accessible financial planning that puts people first. As a family-run business, we understand the importance of security, reassurance, and long-term relationships, and we pride ourselves on delivering advice that genuinely makes a difference to our clients' lives.

About The Role

We are looking for an ambitious and motivated individual to join our Financial Planner Academy as a Trainee Financial Planner.

This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate or career changer looking to build a long-term career in financial planning. Through a structured development programme, you will gain hands-on experience across all areas of the business whilst working towards becoming a qualified Financial Planner.

You'll work alongside experienced advisers and support teams, learning how to deliver outstanding client service, build meaningful client relationships, and develop financial planning recommendations that help clients achieve their goals.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
