Graduate Transitions and Opportunities Project Officer

Are you passionate about connecting students and graduates with career opportunities? Do you enjoy building relationships with employers, coordinating projects and creating positive outcomes for others?
We are seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Graduate Transitions and Opportunities Project Officer to join our Careers and Employability team on a five-month fixed-term basis. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting graduate success by connecting employers, students and recent graduates with meaningful opportunities, mentoring programmes and employability support.
Working closely with employers, alumni, academic colleagues and students, you will help source graduate jobs and internships, coordinate career mentoring activity, support graduate destination initiatives and build valuable employer relationships that benefit our students and graduates.
About The Role
As Graduate Transitions and Opportunities Project Officer, you will:
- Act as a key contact for employers seeking to engage with the University.
- Promote and advertise graduate jobs, internships and early-career opportunities.
- Coordinate graduate and final-year student engagement initiatives.
- Lead the operational delivery of the University's career mentoring programme.
- Attend employer networking events and business forums.
- Develop engaging digital and social media communications.
- Work collaboratively with Careers & Employability Consultants, Work Placements colleagues, Alumni and wider University teams.
- Support and coordinate project activity to achieve agreed outcomes within the contract period.

About You
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:
Essential Criteria
- Degree-level qualification or equivalent experience.
- Experience of employer engagement, business development, recruitment, account management or partnership development.
- Experience coordinating projects, programmes or events.
- Experience sourcing, promoting or matching people to opportunities such as jobs, internships, placements or mentoring schemes.
- Experience using CRM, case-management or similar systems.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- A commitment to inclusive, accessible and high-quality service delivery.
- Ability to travel to employer locations, University sites and events as required.
