Job Summary

At GRAHAM, we are committed to creating exceptional interior environments that transform how people work, learn, and interact. As our Interior Fit-Out business continues to grow, we are seeking an ambitious Assistant Pre-Construction Commercial Coordinator to join our team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate looking to develop a career in commercial management and pre-construction within a leading construction and fit-out organisation.

Reporting to the Commercial Director, you will support the commercial and contractual management of interior fit-out tenders across a range of sectors including commercial offices, workplace environments, education, healthcare, hospitality, retail, and public sector projects. Working alongside experienced Commercial Managers, Estimators, and Pre-Construction professionals, you will gain exposure to the full tender lifecycle, from initial enquiry through to contract award.

You will assist in ensuring projects are commercially robust, contractual risks are identified and managed, and tender submissions align with GRAHAM's commercial objectives and client requirements.

Job Description:

The Graduate Pre-Construction Commercial Coordinator shall:

  • Support the commercial and contractual review of interior fit-out and refurbishment tenders.
  • Review tender documents, contract conditions, specifications, and employer requirements to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Assist in preparing tender queries, qualifications, and clarifications for submission to clients and consultants.
  • Support the development of commercial strategies, risk registers, and tender review documentation.
  • Work alongside Estimators and Bid Managers to ensure commercial considerations are incorporated into tender submissions.
  • Assist in reviewing subcontractor and supplier packages to ensure compliance with tender requirements.
  • Help prepare commercial reports, tender adjudication documents, and bid presentation material.
  • Support negotiations with clients, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors where appropriate.
  • Develop an understanding of contract forms including NEC, JCT, and bespoke client agreements.
  • Assist in the handover of successful tenders to delivery teams, ensuring commercial and contractual requirements are clearly communicated.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, clients, consultants, and supply chain partners.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the Pre-Construction and Commercial functions.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
