Job Summary

At GRAHAM, we are committed to developing the next generation of construction professionals. We are seeking an enthusiastic Graduate to join our Interior Fit-Out team.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience working on high-quality fit-out and refurbishment projects across a range of sectors. Working alongside experienced commercial and project delivery teams, you'll develop a broad understanding of the construction industry while building valuable technical, commercial, and professional skills.

You'll be involved in supporting project delivery from pre-construction through to completion, gaining exposure to cost management, procurement, planning, project coordination, and client engagement. With structured training, mentoring, and real project responsibility, you'll have the opportunity to establish a successful career within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Support project teams in the successful delivery of interior fit-out and refurbishment projects.
  • Assist with project planning, procurement, cost management, and reporting activities.
  • Attend site visits, progress meetings, and client meetings.
  • Help maintain project records, documentation, and reporting information.
  • Build relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and colleagues.
  • Contribute to project performance, quality, and commercial objectives.
  • Develop an understanding of construction processes, contracts, and project delivery.
  • Participate in structured training and professional development programmes.

About You

GRAHAM ROUTES TO BECOMING A QUANTITY SURVEYOR GRADUATES

We offer a two year programme which focuses on developing your technical and interpersonal skills. In addition, a structured, mentored training programme, aligned to a recognised professional qualification, will set you on the pathway to chartership. Through early responsibility you’ll learn quickly on challenging projects with the opportunity for fast track career advancement.

Requirements

Technical Competencies

Essential:

  • A degree (or expected degree) in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a construction related discipline.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong IT skills.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.

Desirable:

  • An appreciation of Health & Safety practices.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Previous placement, internship, or work experience within construction.
  • Understanding of the fit-out or construction industry.
  • Able to demonstrate problem solving.

  • Commercial Awareness: Show willingness to build a strong business acumen combined with the creativity and vision to meet customer needs and GRAHAM business requirements.
  • Effective Communication skills: Able to adapt communication to audience and create detailed written documents and reports. Able to maintain and manage communication links with a variety of stakeholders. Presents a professional image and promotes the Brand.
  • Customer Focus: Takes time to question and understand the real, underlying needs of the customer, beyond those initially expressed. Always works closely with customers, developing an independent view of their needs and acting in their long term interest.

  • Initiative: Is able to work alone to get results in an effective way. Understands and seeks to minimise waste in resources and processes. Adopts and encourages others to adopt new ways of working. Ability to work unsupervised.
  • Team Player: Always willing to be involved in other activities to achieve company objectives. Works collaboratively and uses influence to gain resolution of issues. Demonstrates honesty, loyalty, and commitment.
  • Negotiation: Ability to negotiate with both subcontractors and representatives of the Employer to ensure all contractual rights and obligations are realised and protected.

The Recruitment Process
