Company Description
North West Recovery Communities is a small but growing charity based in North West Glasgow. Gaining charitable status in 2022, we exist to build recovery, connection and hope for people affected by addiction. Our work is community-led, run by people in recovery, families, and supporters, creating groups, drop-ins, social events and partnerships that make recovery visible and possible across our area.
We’ve built a strong reputation and a wide network within our community. We now want to take the next step `securing sustainable funding to expand our reach and strengthen our recovery support network.
Role Description
We are looking for an experienced Grant Fundraising Consultant to work with us on a short-term basis to identify, prepare and submit funding bids. The focus will be on national and local funders (e.g. National Lottery Community Fund, Robertson Trust, Glasgow based foundations).

You will be supported by our Trustees and staff, who can provide local context, project detail and data for proposals and reporting.
This will be a fixed term position that will be discussed in detail during the interview process.
Key Deliverables
- Research and identify suitable funding opportunities relevant to NWRC’s mission.
- Develop and submit strong, tailored applications to key funders.
- Create a funding pipeline and handover plan for continuing applications.
- Produce clear reporting templates and guidance for future use.
- Provide short progress updates and recommendations to Trustees.

Time Commitment
Hybrid working possible; attendance at one or two in-person meetings in Glasgow preferred.
Person Specification
- Proven track record in grant fundraising, particularly with small or grassroots charities.
- Excellent communication and bid-writing skills.
- Knowledge of Scottish and UK charitable funding landscape.
- Ability to work independently and deliver results within deadlines.
- Understanding of community-led or recovery-focused work is desirable.
Fee
Negotiable daily rate, depending on experience.
