Salary: £28,366 – £31,518 FTE (pro rata £14,183 – £15,759 per year), plus 5% employer pension contribution

Hours: 18.5 per week

VCAS are looking for a Grant Holder Support Officer as part of our new partnership project with the National Lottery Community Fund and our fellow local infrastructure organisations in Tyne and Wear and County Durham. You will be a key member of our Support and Development team, strengthening support for the VCSE sector.

The role focuses on working with VCSE organisations who have a current Lottery Grant or who wish to apply. You will help them to identify their strengths and areas for development, and support them to work on improving their governance, financial management, policies or processes as required. You will have a collaborative approach, working side by side with organisations. You will be open to learning and adapting your approach as the project develops.

We are looking for a people person with the ability to work well as part of a team, and foster good working relationships. You will have a strong understanding of the needs of the VCSE sector. You will be able to build and maintain positive relationships both internally and externally. You will be self-motivated, well-organised, enjoy a high level of autonomy, and be confident in supporting organisations in their development.
