Overview
Music wouldn't exist without the work of songwriters, composers and publishers. PRS for Music is here to represent them and make sure that they are paid for their work. After more than a century in the industry, we continue to innovate as a world-leading organisation.
We’re looking for a Grants & Admin Assistant on behalf of our associated charity PRS Members' Fund.
The Role
About PRS Members’ Fund
We are dedicated to supporting PRS songwriter and composer members through life’s challenges by offering hardship funding and wellbeing support when it’s needed most. As a charity with deep roots in the music community, we exist to help music creators navigate hardships, whether it’s through health and wellbeing support, housing assistance, or financial aid, so they can focus on what they do best: making music.
Purpose
To support the smooth running of the Fund's administrative processes, with a particular focus on grant administration and application processing. The role contributes to the efficient operation of the charity through the maintenance of accurate records, effective information management, and the delivery of a professional and responsive service to members, colleagues, and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Primarily to assist with the administration of grant programmes, including application processing, record keeping, correspondence with members, and related administrative activities.
- Support the day-to-day operation of the office through a range of administrative duties, including data entry, document preparation, research, information management, royalty income processing, and general office support.
- Maintain and update the Fund's CRM database (Salesforce), ensuring records are accurate, current, and compliant with data management requirements.
- Support the preparation of reports, surveys, and other administrative documentation as required.
- Assist with the planning and delivery of events, fundraising activities, member engagement initiatives, and other organisational projects, including attendance at events when required.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
