Grants and Trusts Manager
As our Grants and Trusts Manager at the Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association, you will play a key role in securing income from charitable trusts, foundations and grant-making bodies, helping to drive support for people affected by MND through sustainable funding partnerships. Working closely with colleagues across the MND Association, you will develop compelling funding opportunities, strengthen funder relationships and demonstrate the impact of our work.
We're looking for a relationship-focused fundraiser with proven trust fundraising experience, strong communication skills and a track record of developing successful funding applications. You will be an inclusive and collaborative leader who enjoys bringing people together, building credibility with stakeholders and supporting a high-performing team to achieve shared goals. Main Responsibilities
- Lead on identification and development of a portfolio of trusts, foundations and grant-making organisations to generate sustainable income
- Build, maintain and grow strong funder relationships through excellent stewardship and engagement
- Manage and support the Trusts Team to deliver high-quality, timely and persuasive funding applications
- Identify and develop new funding opportunities in partnership with the Prospect Researcher and key stakeholders
- Lead, motivate and develop Trust team members, creating a collaborative and supportive environment
- Work across the Association to develop compelling funding propositions aligned to organisational priorities
- Ensure effective collaboration with fundraising colleagues to maintain clear funder ownership and contact strategies
- Monitor grant requirements, ensuring reports and funding conditions are delivered on time
- Manage income and expenditure budgets, reporting regularly on performance and progress
- Promote accurate use of fundraising systems and donor records to support effective stewardship

About You
- Proven experience securing and growing income from grants, trusts and foundations within the charity sector
- A strong track record of developing successful funding applications from concept through to award
- Experience leading, developing and motivating a high-performing team
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and build credibility at senior levels
- Demonstrable success in building productive relationships with internal stakeholders and external funders
- Strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret data, identify trends and develop funding pipelines
- Experience managing budgets, resources and fundraising activity effectively
- Proficiency in CRM databases and fundraising systems
