Role
Support the delivery of global Arts grant programmes across Creative Growth and Art in Action. Working closely with the Head of Grant Making and Grants Managers, you will coordinate grant operations, financial administration, reporting, data management and partner engagement, ensuring programmes are delivered efficiently, compliantly and with impact.
Role Accountabilities
Managing Self and Others
- Holding vendors, suppliers and grantees accountable for delivering services and grant milestones, while supporting the management of external consultants.
- Working independently to manage priorities and deadlines, while actively embedding EDI and anti-racist practices across programmes and ways of working.
Financial & Resource Management
- Supporting financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and reporting for grant programmes, maintaining accurate records in line with audit requirements.
- Managing vendor relationships and timely payments while ensuring compliance with British Council financial policies, procedures and internal guidelines.
Project Management
- Supporting data management, monitoring, reporting, compliance, due diligence, audits, grants administration, evaluation and procurement to meet programme and funder requirements.
- Coordinating programme events, supporting diversity mainstreaming, strengthening grantee relationships and learning, and collaborating with Marketing and Communications colleagues to support programme delivery.

Essential
- Demonstrated experience of working in a supporting role on grant programmes or in projects.
- Administrative and financial administration experience.
Desirable
- Experience of working with international teams.
- Experience in Grants management
- Experience in the arts and/ or creative industries
- Experience of working with the SAP finance system
Important Information:
- Business Division: Arts
- Language Requirement: Proficient written and spoken English
- Pay Band: 6 G
- Country/Location: United Kingdom
- Working Arrangement: Hybrid, (please note you will be required to work from the office for 3 days per week)
- Contract Type: Indefinite Contract (Permanent)
- Contract Hours: Full time - 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday
- Starting Annual Gross Salary: £28,072
