Grants Manager

Location: Flexible/remote
MENTOR is recruiting for an experienced Grants Manager with a background in grants or financial management to join the team in HQ supporting large-scale disease control programmes in humanitarian settings.
We are particularly interested in hearing from applicants with the following:
- Extensive experience managing grants and working with donors.
- Familiarity with NGO working environments and standard procedures.
- Highly organised with good coordination / project management skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Fluency in Portuguese or Spanish.

- Grant and finance management: Continuous contact with country Finance Coordinators, their team and the Country Director. Oversee grant and programme accounting/donor reporting.
- Financial management and reporting and managing cash flow.
- Grant development: Work with Programme Managers to review new grant opportunities and donor requests for proposals.
- Staff management and responsibilities: Provide technical support, advice and training as necessary to field staff, ensuring that roles are properly understood and completed, making field visits as necessary.
- Logistics, procurement and IT: Oversee basic logistics procedures in relation to procurement and stock management in the field, coordinating as necessary with the logistics team and HQ procurement officer.
- Legal, security and risk management: Review all project contracts to ensure that MENTOR’s financial commitments are met and ensure compliance with all local legal requirements.
- Other: Support internal audits, develop HQ and field assets register, and manage vehicle contracts.
