Grants & Trusts Fundraiser
About the Role
Help Time to Give Network identify and pursue the grants most likely to fund our growth and social impact. We need an experienced grants fundraiser who can assess fit, strengthen our case and turn the strongest opportunities into compelling applications.
What difference will you make?
We have ambitious plans but intentionally operate with a lean team. Appropriate grant funding could enable us to invest in technology, partnerships, community development, and the infrastructure needed to scale our impact.
Your contribution should also leave a lasting legacy beyond individual applications.
By helping us identify the right funders, strengthen our case for support, create reusable materials, and establish a prioritised grants pipeline, you can give Time to Give Network a much stronger foundation for future fundraising.
Our platform enables professional time and expertise to generate charitable donations. Helping us secure the resources required to grow therefore has the potential to increase the amount of charitable impact generated through the wider Time to Give Network community.
As a Community Interest Company, we are not driven by maximising profit. Surplus generated by our fundraising activities, after operating costs, is distributed to charitable causes.
At the end of the project, we want to have stronger applications in progress, a clearer view of where our best funding opportunities lie, and a repeatable approach that the organisation can continue to use.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for an experienced grants fundraiser who can both identify strong funding opportunities and help turn them into persuasive applications.

You will ideally have at least three years’ professional experience in one or more of:
- Grant fundraising
- Trusts and foundations
- Bid writing
- Institutional fundraising
- Funding applications
- Charity or social-enterprise fundraising
A track record of successful applications would be particularly valuable.
The most important skill for this project is the ability to assess fit as well as write well.
There are many funding opportunities available, but pursuing unsuitable grants can consume considerable time. We therefore need someone who can interpret eligibility and funding criteria, understand what funders are really looking for, and tell us candidly where an opportunity is – or is not – worth pursuing.
You should be a clear and persuasive writer who can take a relatively innovative proposition and express it in straightforward language appropriate to different funders.
Experience of developing cases for support, theories of change, impact narratives, or reusable grant materials would also be useful.
We would particularly welcome experience securing funding for CICs, social enterprises, technology-enabled social-impact organisations, or early-stage not-for-profits.
You should be comfortable working independently with access to our CEO, team, and existing collateral when required.
We are looking for someone who wants to contribute to practical applications and outcomes, rather than providing high-level fundraising advice alone.

Time to Give Network is a UK Community Interest Company using professional expertise and relationships to create charitable impact.
Our fundraising platform enables senior professionals to offer their time for valuable one-to-one meetings. In return, the person requesting the meeting makes a donation to a charity selected by that professional.
We are looking for an experienced Grants & Trusts Fundraiser to help us identify appropriate funding opportunities and turn the strongest of them into compelling applications.
This is a defined, practical project with clear outputs.
Over a period of up to six months, you could help us:
- Research relevant trusts, foundations, and grant programmes
- Assess our eligibility for different funding opportunities
- Prioritise opportunities based on fit and likelihood of success
- Build a focused grants pipeline
- Draft and strengthen funding applications
- Adapt our case for support for different funders
- Help articulate our social impact and theory of change
- Develop reusable evidence and supporting material
- Identify gaps in our evidence or information
- Help put in place a repeatable grants process for the future
We would particularly value someone willing to get involved in actual applications rather than limiting their contribution to high-level advice.
An equally important part of the role is helping us avoid spending scarce time pursuing funding where the fit is weak.
The aim is to leave Time to Give Network with both credible applications underway and a stronger, more sustainable grants process for the future.
