Graphic Designer (12-Month Maternity Cover)

Marketing Team | Glasgow Hybrid Working

Salary: £35,000 - £42,000

Join a small team making a big impact

At Scottish Friendly, we're looking for a talented and versatile Graphic Designer to join our Marketing team on a 12-month maternity cover contract.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced designer who loves bringing ideas to life across print, digital, motion, and brand communications. You'll play a key role in shaping creative campaigns, developing engaging customer communications, and helping evolve our brand as we continue to grow.

Working directly with our Creative Design Manager, you'll be part of a small but ambitious creative team where your ideas will be heard, your creativity will be valued, and your work will have a real impact.

What you'll be doing

No two days are the same. One day you could be developing creative concepts for a brand campaign, the next producing engaging social content, designing customer communications, or creating high-quality corporate reports and presentations.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
