Norfolk
Office-based, five days per week (but likely to change to hybrid in 2027)
About the Company
Our client is a fast-moving competitions business offering customers the chance to win everything from cars and houses to cash, technology and luxury products. It is a growing business with big plans for its brand, marketing and customer experience.
There is a real sense of change and opportunity here. The business has recently been acquired and is investing in how its brand develops, how it communicates with customers and how creative work supports that growth.
The Role
This is a hands-on Graphic Designer position within a busy content team. You’ll create digital artwork for competitions, the website and marketing channels, working on everything from major campaign graphics and paid social ads to prize artwork, game themes and CRM creative.
It moves quickly. There is a high volume of work and plenty of variety, with seasonal campaigns such as Halloween, Black Friday and Christmas sitting alongside the everyday rhythm of new competitions and content.
You’ll work closely with people across content, paid media, email and wider marketing. One day might involve creating promotional artwork for a new competition, another could mean retouching car or property photography, creating instant-win assets or adapting a campaign across multiple digital formats.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
AI is part of the creative toolkit too, particularly for generating backgrounds, environments, concepts and variations. But this is important: they want a designer first. Solid design skills and judgement matter more than knowing how to press a button on an AI tool.
About You
You’ll have previous graphic or digital design experience and a portfolio that shows strong commercial work. Photoshop and Illustrator skills are important, alongside a good eye for typography, colour, layout and composition.
Just as importantly, you’ll be comfortable working at pace. There can be several briefs moving at once, so you need to handle deadlines, feedback and the occasional bit of ambiguity without losing attention to detail.
They’re looking for someone with creative conviction, but without the ego. Someone collaborative, adaptable and comfortable working with people who may also have strong views about creative work. A little humour and humility will go a long way too.
You don’t need to come from gaming or competitions. Quality of work matters more than having followed one particular career path.

Experience designing for social media and digital advertising would be useful. Experience with AI creative tools is also welcome, although training can be provided.
Benefits
25 days’ holiday, with holiday entitlement increasing with service, free parking and workplace snacks and drinks. The current role is office-based, although the business is reviewing its approach to flexible working.
Why Here, Why Now?
Because this feels bigger than simply producing another set of ads.
The company is developing its brand while increasing the amount and variety of creative work it produces. There are plans to make more of seasonal and cultural moments, personalisation and joined-up customer experiences, alongside growth across car, house, luxury and technology competitions.
You’ll also be surrounded by some pretty compelling subject matter. The business has direct access to the cars it promotes, with millions of pounds’ worth of vehicles on site, alongside its own photography, video and content operation.
So yes, there are thumbnails and ads to create. But for somebody who wants to put their mark on a growing brand and gradually broaden what they do, there is considerably more opportunity on the horizon.
“It took my CV and asked me questions relevant to understanding what kind of jobs to suggest for me. Suggestions were almost perfect. Jobs were exactly what I’ve been looking for.”
