About The Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary Head of Design or Creative to join a fast-scaling direct-to-consumer (D2C) brand based in London. This pivotal role involves leading the creative output across the brand, shaping and defining the creative vision from the ground up. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to build and develop the creative team, establishing standards and processes that align with the brand’s ambitious growth plans. As a key member of the leadership team, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional departments including brand, growth, product, and commercial teams, as well as managing external partners to ensure the delivery of compelling and cohesive creative campaigns.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience operating at a Head of Creative, Head of Design, Associate Creative Director (ADD), or Associate Creative Director (ACD) level within high-growth environments.
  • A strong design background with an elevated personal taste and a keen eye for detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to set and uphold creative systems and standards across multiple channels.
  • Experience working with high-growth DTC, lifestyle, or FMCG brands, understanding the nuances of fast-paced, consumer-centric environments.
  • Leadership skills with a track record of building, mentoring, and developing creative teams from early stages.
  • Comfortable working hands-on with creative execution while maintaining strategic oversight.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to partner effectively across various teams and external agencies.

Responsibilities

  • Define and establish the creative vision, standards, and tone of voice for the brand, ensuring consistency across all touchpoints.
  • Lead the creative team in developing innovative concepts and campaigns that resonate with the target audience and support business objectives.
  • Art direct campaigns across multiple channels including digital, social media, print, and experiential events, working closely with the growth team to optimize impact.
  • Safeguard and evolve the brand identity, storytelling, and visual language to ensure coherence and differentiation in the marketplace.
  • Oversee the end-to-end production process, from initial concept and planning through to execution, whether for high-end or more scrappy shoots.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams including brand, product, growth, and commercial to align creative strategies with overall business goals.
  • Manage external creative agencies, freelancers, and vendors to ensure quality and timely delivery of creative assets.
  • Build and develop the creative team, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages innovation, growth, and excellence.
