Job Title: Graphic Designer

Location: Soho, London
Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract (Minimum 3 Months)
Reports to: Head of Brand
Direct Reports: 1
Hours per week: 24 Hours Per Week

ABOUT THIS ROLE

This role is a Fixed Term Contract for a Minimum 3-month period, based out of our London HQ in Soho, London.

This is a Part-time opportunity, and we would require someone to be on-site for a minimum 2 days a week.

Reporting to the Head of Brand and Online, the graphic designer is to be responsible for the creative execution and aesthetics of brand communications.

The UK&I is the largest and most developed market for ghd and is a critical territory for the sustainability of the brand at a global level. The graphic designer is integral to ensuring ghd’s continued success and ambitious growth plans, maintaining market leading creative execution across both digital & print touchpoints.

JOB ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Digital:

  • Creation and formatting of digital photo & video assets to support media channels, ensuring all digital touchpoints are on-brand, accessible, and optimised for conversion. Including:
    • Paid media campaigns
    • Social media channels
    • .com website & CRM
    • SEP & retail partners
    • Salon and ghd pro

Print:

  • Work with marketing, sales and education teams to design assets and supporting material for national campaigns and launches and delivering within required time frames (including but not limited to):
    • Point of sales
    • Cycle Presentations & Briefs
    • Sales Presenters
    • Event collateral
    • Planograms / VM
    • Print materials
    • Trade media
    • PR and Event materials
    • Social content
  • As well as adaptation of globally supplied assets to support local requirements.
  • Key lead for ghd asset library, ensuring all assets are up to date, within usage and managed in folders
  • Ensure all assets across all channels are on brand and in line with ghd brand guidelines

REQUIREMENTS

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2+ years work experience in graphic design role – in-house or agency experience.
  • Advanced skills across the full suite of Microsoft Office programs, Adobe InDesign and Photoshop
  • Ability to think creatively and adapt as needs change
  • Ability to distil information into simple visuals
  • Highly organised and with good time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; great attention to detail, spelling, and grammar
  • Good interpersonal skills coupled with an inclusive mindset, acting with transparency and integrity.
  • Actively live and breathe the ghd brand.
  • UK based with the ability to travel to UK/ROI without restrictions.
