Head of Graphics

Client: Commercial Office Interiors

Location: City of London

Employment Type: Full-time

Salary: Up to £80,000, dependent on experience

Working Pattern: 4 days in the office / 1 day from home

Role Overview

We are seeking an accomplished and highly creative Head of Graphics to join a leading commercial office interiors business in London. This is a newly focused leadership role offering the opportunity to set up, establish and grow a dedicated graphics team and function within the business. The successful candidate will take ownership of the company’s graphic and visual output, initially taking a hands-on approach while developing the structure, processes and team required to support the business as it grows.

Working closely with the Pre-construction Manager, Bid Manager, Digital & Content Manager and wider senior leadership team, you will shape the creative direction across pitches, tenders, proposals, presentations, marketing collateral and digital content. A key part of the role will be establishing best practice across the graphics function, identifying future resource requirements, recruiting and developing a graphics team, and creating efficient workflows that consistently deliver high-quality creative work. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced senior graphic designer or existing graphics lead who is looking to step into a broader leadership position and build a graphics department from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish, develop and lead the company’s dedicated graphics function
  • Build and grow a high-performing graphics team in line with the needs of the business
  • Define the structure, processes, standards and workflows for the graphics department
  • Take strategic ownership of the company’s visual identity and overall creative standards
  • Lead the creative direction for bids, tenders, pitches, proposals and client presentations
  • Initially remain hands-on with key projects while progressively developing and managing the wider team
  • Recruit, manage, mentor and develop graphic design team members
  • Manage workload planning and allocation across the graphics function
  • Collaborate closely with senior stakeholders across pre-construction, bids, business development, marketing and digital content
  • Produce and oversee high-quality visual collateral using Adobe Creative Suite
  • Interpret complex project briefs and translate them into engaging, commercially persuasive presentations and graphics
  • Ensure all documentation and digital content is innovative, visually compelling and consistently on-brand
  • Take ownership of project timelines and proactively coordinate input from internal and external stakeholders
  • Maintain meticulous quality control across all graphic output
  • Work closely with the Digital & Content Manager to elevate website, social media and wider digital creative output
  • Lead the ongoing development of case studies, credentials packs, team biographies and marketing collateral
  • Manage relationships with external print, production and specialist creative suppliers
  • Support the business development team with standout campaigns and client engagement materials
  • Explore and implement new technologies and creative solutions, including motion graphics, animation, video, interactive presentations and digital presentation tools
  • Identify opportunities to improve how the business visually communicates its projects, capabilities and brand
  • Establish a culture of creative excellence, innovation and continuous improvement within the graphics team

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

The Opportunity

This role offers considerably more than a traditional senior graphic design position. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to create and shape the graphics function, build their own team and establish how graphics operates across the wider business. It would suit someone who combines strong creative ability with leadership, commercial awareness and an entrepreneurial mindset, and who is excited by the opportunity to build something rather than simply inherit an existing team.
