Overview
Our client is an established environmental campaigning organisation seeking a Graphic Designer to join a newly formed Creative and Production team.
As the team's sole Graphic Designer, you will deliver creative projects from concept through to completion, producing engaging visual content across campaign materials, reports, posters, advertising, props, digital communications and toolkits.
This is primarily a hands-on design role, with opportunities to contribute to art direction and develop creative concepts alongside copywriting, production and wider creative colleagues. Your work will support campaigns, fundraising activity and community engagement while ensuring visual and written communications work cohesively and effectively.
Responsibilities
- Conceptualise, design and deliver engaging and accessible visual content across print, digital and activation channels.
- Produce artwork that meets required technical, production and output specifications.
- Maintain brand identity and accessibility standards across creative materials.
- Develop versatile templates and practical design resources for use by colleagues and non-designers.
- Coordinate with external print suppliers and maintain high standards of production quality control.
- Collaborate with copywriters, video producers, photo editors and other stakeholders to develop cohesive creative concepts.
- Provide art direction and clear strategic rationale for design decisions where required.
- Support internal content creators by sharing core design principles, tools, templates and practical guidance.
- Work closely with the Studio Manager to prioritise projects and manage your individual workload.
- Identify and resolve production challenges proactively.
- Maintain clear, organised and accessible final asset files.
- Apply inclusive and anti-racist principles to the design process and finished work, adapting your approach to different perspectives and helping communications reach a broader and more diverse audience.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
