About The Role

The Junior Graphic Designer role at JTP offers an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate or an individual seeking their first professional position in graphic design. This position is based within the company’s in-house graphics team and involves collaborating closely with architecture, urban design, and masterplanning professionals. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing visually compelling content that communicates the narrative and value of JTP’s placemaking projects to clients and stakeholders. The role involves creating a wide range of high-quality outputs suitable for both print and digital platforms, including pitch decks, brochures, branding materials, information graphics, diagrams, and creative assets. Additionally, the Junior Graphic Designer will contribute to the company’s social media presence by designing engaging content for platforms such as Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, and TikTok. This includes developing storyboards, editing short videos, and curating cohesive feeds, ensuring that all content aligns with JTP’s mission and brand identity. The role offers a unique chance to develop a diverse skill set in a creative environment, gaining exposure to architecture and placemaking projects while honing technical and conceptual design abilities.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong passion for design, creativity, and attention to detail. Essential qualifications include proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite applications such as InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop. Experience or enthusiasm for print design, exhibition graphics, illustration, video editing, and animation is highly advantageous. Knowledge of Premier Pro, After Effects, Cap/Cut, and Express is desirable, as these skills will enhance the candidate’s ability to contribute to multimedia content. A basic understanding or interest in architecture and the built environment is preferred but not mandatory. The candidate should be highly motivated, able to work independently and collaboratively, and possess excellent communication skills. A portfolio showcasing previous design work that demonstrates creativity, technical ability, and versatility will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

The Junior Graphic Designer will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including but not limited to:

  • Creating visually engaging pitch decks, brochures, and presentation materials that effectively communicate project narratives
  • Developing branding assets, information graphics, diagrams, and other creative visuals that support project proposals and client presentations
  • Designing content for social media channels, including static graphics, storyboards, short videos, and reels, ensuring consistency with JTP’s branding and values
  • Working under tight deadlines, managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality standards
  • Collaborating with architects, urban designers, and marketing teams to ensure visual coherence and alignment with project goals
  • Staying updated on current design and social media trends to keep the firm’s visual presence innovative and competitive
  • Contributing ideas for new visual concepts and supporting the development of digital and print marketing materials that enhance JTP’s brand identity
