Graphic Designer & Creative Content Assistant

About the Role

We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic Graphic Designer & Creative Content Assistant to join our team based at our offices in Leeds LS11.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone wanting to expand their creative career who is passionate about design and eager to develop their skills across a range of creative disciplines. We are looking for an individual with a strong eye for design, a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.

Working alongside our marketing and management teams, you will help create engaging visual content for both digital and print platforms while gaining valuable experience in photography, video content creation and social media marketing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create visually engaging graphics for digital and print use.
  • Designing flyers, posters, brochures, advertisements and promotional materials.
  • Produce content that aligns with the company's branding and visual identity.
  • Support the creation of marketing materials for online and offline campaigns.
  • Take and edit product photography for use in print, on websites and social media channels.
  • Create and develop content creation for social media platforms.
  • Support video content projects, including filming and editing where required.
  • Adapt creative content for different platforms and formats.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop creative ideas and campaigns.
  • Stay up to date with design, marketing and social media trends.
  • Manage tasks and projects to agreed deadlines.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • A qualification in Graphic Design, Digital Media, Marketing or a related creative field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • A portfolio demonstrating creativity and design ability.
  • Excellent knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and InDesign.
  • Knowledge and an understanding of digital photography principles.
  • Good understanding of design fundamentals including layout, typography and colour.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Good organisational and time-management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop new skills.

Desirable Skills

The following would be beneficial but are not essential:

  • Experience creating content for social media platforms.
  • Familiarity with video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro.
  • Knowledge of TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and YouTube platforms.
  • Basic understanding of digital marketing.
  • Awareness of current design and content trends.
