About The Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Graphic Designer to join our creative team at the John Lewis Partnership. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for conceptualizing, crafting, and delivering exceptional visual designs that resonate across multiple customer touchpoints. Your work will span campaigns, social media, digital platforms, and packaging, ensuring a cohesive and engaging brand presence. Reporting to the Graphic Design Manager or Senior Lead, you will utilize your expertise to develop innovative visual concepts that align with brand guidelines and creative strategies. This is a permanent position based at our London Head Office in Pimlico, offering a hybrid working pattern that combines office presence with flexible remote work. The expected salary for this role is up to £60,000, depending on experience.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess extensive experience as a Mid-Senior Creative or Graphic Designer, with a strong portfolio demonstrating high-quality work. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Figma is essential. Candidates should have a solid understanding of brand and creative strategy, coupled with exceptional typographic, layout, composition, and color skills. Experience working within or for the fashion, home, and lifestyle industries is highly desirable. A keen eye for current creative trends, high taste levels, and familiarity with motion design and social media content creation are also important. Additional skills such as experience with generative creative technology, 3D design, or illustrative skills are considered advantageous.

Responsibilities

The Senior Graphic Designer will demonstrate a refined sense of taste and a thorough understanding of brand design guidelines to develop creative work that is on-brand and aligned with strategic objectives. You will be responsible for presenting conceptual ideas and finished designs to the Graphic Design Manager, Senior Leads, and relevant stakeholders, effectively articulating your creative vision. The role requires the ability to respond constructively to feedback and refine ideas accordingly. You will also be expected to keep abreast of the latest design trends and incorporate them into your work to ensure the brand remains fresh and relevant. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you will contribute to the development of campaigns and digital content, ensuring consistency and high standards across all channels. Additionally, you will support the mentoring of junior team members and help foster a collaborative and innovative creative environment.
