Based at: Sandown Park Racecourse - Hybrid

Contract type: Permanent

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Bring The Jockey Club’s brands to life as a Graphic Designer, creating high-quality, engaging and commercially effective creative across digital, print and race day environments. Working across our iconic festivals, racecourses and brand campaigns, you’ll combine creativity, attention to detail and strong design craft to deliver standout work that strengthens our brands, connects with audiences and supports business objectives.

The Jockey Club stages thrilling sporting occasions and live events nationwide including The Grand National, The Cheltenham Festival & The Derby. The Graphic Designer will

  • Bring The Jockey Club, Racecourse and Festival brands to life through creative, commercially effective design that engages audiences and supports business objectives.
  • Deliver high-quality creative across a wide range of projects, from major campaigns and race day assets to day-to-day design requests, maintaining exceptional standards throughout.
  • Act as a brand champion, ensuring all creative work reflects our visual identity, brand guidelines and values across The Jockey Club and our 14 racecourses.
  • Play a key role in developing impactful race day branding and creative assets that enhance the customer experience across our venues.
  • Create engaging content across multiple touchpoints, including digital, social, email, print, signage, advertising, retail and large-format applications.
  • Collaborate closely with the Social Media and wider Marketing teams to develop creative assets that strengthen and elevate our content offering.
  • Take projects from initial concept through to final delivery, ensuring artwork is pixel-perfect, print-ready and produced to the highest standard.
  • Stay ahead of creative, sports and digital trends, bringing fresh ideas, inspiration and best practice into the team.
  • Contribute to a collaborative, creative culture by sharing ideas, developing your skills and helping to continually raise the standard of our creative output.

About you

  • A talented designer with a portfolio showcasing original, engaging and commercially effective creative across multiple channels, including social media and large-format print.
  • Highly proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign, with experience delivering both print and digital assets. Knowledge of After Effects and Premiere Pro would be an advantage.
  • A strong conceptual thinker with the ability to develop modern, audience-focused creative that brings brands and campaigns to life.
  • Exceptionally organised, with the ability to manage multiple projects, balance competing priorities and deliver high-quality work to tight deadlines.
  • Passionate about design, typography and emerging creative trends, with a desire to continually develop your skills and craft.
  • Meticulous in your approach, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing accurate, polished and on-brand work.
  • Proactive, collaborative and full of creative energy, bringing fresh ideas, initiative and a positive approach to every project.
  • Enthusiastic about sport, live events and customer experiences, with the flexibility and adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced, hybrid working environment.
