Full-time | Permanent | On-site in Highland Perthshire
Salary range: £40,000- £45,000
The House of Bruar is looking for an experienced Senior Graphic Designer to become a key senior member of our busy in-house creative team.
This is a hands-on design role with real responsibility. We are looking for someone who not only produces excellent creative work, but who is also confident taking ownership of projects, making sound decisions, supporting other designers and helping drive the day-to-day running of the department.
Working closely with the Head of Graphic Design, you will play an important role in maintaining the exceptionally high creative standards of the House of Bruar brand across print, digital, packaging, advertising and our extensive catalogue programme.
This would suit an experienced Senior Designer — or a strong mid-weight designer ready to take the next step — who enjoys being hands-on creatively but is also looking for greater responsibility and influence.
The Role
You will work across a broad range of creative projects, including:
- Catalogues and other substantial multi-page publications
- Newspaper and magazine advertising
- Brand and campaign materials
- Packaging and retail creative
- Digital and website content
- Image selection, retouching and repro
- Occasional illustration or textile-related artwork

You will take projects from initial brief through to final delivery, working closely with colleagues across Photography, E-commerce, Retail, Buying and other areas of the business.
Alongside your own creative work, you will also help support the wider design team — providing guidance, helping prioritise workload, checking creative output and resolving day-to-day design or production issues.
We are looking for someone who can confidently take responsibility for a project and move it forward without needing constant direction.
What We’re Looking For
You will ideally have:
- Significant professional graphic design experience
- An excellent eye for typography, layout, imagery and composition
- Strong experience in print and editorial design
- Advanced knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator
- A strong understanding of artwork preparation, print production, colour management and repro
- The ability to manage several projects and competing deadlines
- Confidence making creative decisions independently
- Excellent attention to detail and strong quality-control skills
- The ability to provide constructive guidance and support to other designers
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to work directly with colleagues across the business
- A proactive approach to problem-solving
- The ability to remain organised and positive in a fast-paced environment
- A genuine enthusiasm for premium design and brand presentation

Experience within retail, fashion, luxury, lifestyle, publishing or an agency environment would be particularly relevant.
Experience of Figma and UI design would be desirable, while packaging, illustration or textile design experience would also be an advantage.
