Graphics Programmer
IO Interactive is seeking an experienced Graphics Programmer to join our Engine team as we scale our rendering capabilities for ambitious upcoming projects. This is an opportunity to work on cutting-edge rendering systems at scale, directly contributing to the next generation of AAA game experiences.
We're at a pivotal moment. Our studios are expanding their technical ambition, and we need world-class graphics programmers to architect rendering solutions that will power multiple high-profile titles across multiple platforms and console generations. This role sits at the intersection of rendering innovation and engine scalability, where your work will directly impact the visual fidelity and performance that millions of players experience.
What you will do
- Develop and optimize rendering systems and graphics pipelines for multiple platforms and console generations
- Write robust, performant C++ code that forms the backbone of our proprietary Glacier engine
- Profile, debug, and optimize rendering performance across CPU and GPU, with a deep focus on platform-specific constraints
- Collaborate with engine systems teams to improve data flow, memory management, and rendering feature integration
- Implement advanced rendering techniques for complex visual systems including cloth, crowds, terrain, weather, and environmental effects
- Support the technical direction and roadmap for rendering as we expand our platform capabilities

Who you are
- Shipped at least one AAA title as a Graphics/Rendering Programmer
- Strong C++ programmer with deep experience in engine-level graphics systems
- Proven expertise in graphics APIs (DirectX, Vulkan, or equivalent) and shader programming
- Experienced with performance profiling and optimization in large-scale codebases
- Strong grasp of GPU architecture, rendering pipelines, and graphics theory
- Comfortable working across multiple platforms with a focus on console development
- Excellent communicator who can work effectively in a distributed, multicultural team environment
