🚨 Contract Opportunity | GRC Consultant (Governance, Risk & Compliance)
📍 Remote / Hybrid
📅 Initial 3-Month Contract (Approx. 3 Days per Week)
💰 £500–£600 per day
We're partnering with a fast-growing software business preparing to onboard several major enterprise customers. As the business scales, they're investing heavily in governance, security and compliance, and are looking for someone to design and implement a robust, scalable compliance framework that will support future growth.
This is a hands-on role where you'll work closely with senior stakeholders, identify compliance gaps, implement best practices and create governance processes that are practical, effective and built to last.
What you'll be working on:
- ✅ Building a company-wide Governance, Risk & Compliance framework
- ✅ Leading PCI DSS compliance initiatives
- ✅ Developing GDPR processes and documentation
- ✅ Supporting ISO 27001, SOC 2 and/or Cyber Essentials programmes
- ✅ Creating policies, procedures and governance documentation
- ✅ Building and maintaining risk registers
- ✅ Preparing the business for audits and security assessments
- ✅ Managing client security questionnaires and compliance requests
- ✅ Coordinating external security assessments and penetration testing
- ✅ Advising leadership on evolving regulatory and compliance requirements

We're looking for someone with experience in:
- ✔️ Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC)
- ✔️ PCI DSS
- ✔️ GDPR
- ✔️ ISO 27001, SOC 2 and/or Cyber Essentials
- ✔️ Risk management and security governance
- ✔️ Policy creation and audit preparation
- ✔️ Working independently across multiple stakeholders
- ✔️ SaaS or technology environments

Bonus experience:
- Point of Sale (POS) compliance
- French regulatory or compliance requirements
- Supporting businesses operating across multiple European markets
This is an opportunity to make a genuine impact, helping shape the company's compliance strategy from the ground up. Following the initial engagement, there is strong potential for ongoing retained consultancy work.
