About the role
Advisory helps organisations address complex challenges, manage risk and improve performance. Within the Sectors Governance, Risk and Compliance Services team, you will support clients in strengthening their control environments and governance frameworks through internal controls, risk management, corporate governance and internal audit services. As a Manager, you will take ownership of client engagements, build trusted stakeholder relationships and help drive the growth of the practice. You will work on the design, implementation and testing of internal controls while applying modern risk and control assessment techniques to support strategic, operational and financial objectives.
Roles and responsibilities
- Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and identify opportunities to strengthen business processes and control environments.
- Manage proposal responses, coordinate delivery teams and complete required risk and quality procedures.
- Lead engagements covering control scoping, risk and maturity assessments, control design, implementation and testing.
- Present findings clearly and translate them into practical improvement recommendations for client leadership teams.
- Coordinate specialists from across KPMG to provide joined-up, consistent support for clients.
- Manage a portfolio of client accounts, overseeing quality, financial performance and safe delivery.
- Support Partners and Directors in developing client relationships, identifying new opportunities and contributing to business growth.
- Coach and mentor engagement teams, including offshore colleagues, to support learning and development.

Experience and skills needed

- Experience delivering US Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, internal controls, internal audit or risk management engagements.
- Experience designing, implementing and testing internal controls across the engagement lifecycle.
- Ability to lead client engagements and manage multiple stakeholder relationships.
- Experience conducting risk assessments and evaluating control maturity.
- Ability to communicate findings and recommendations clearly to senior audiences.
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality outcomes.
