21.5 hours per week

We do things well and keep developing.

Do you love parks, open spaces and helping communities look after the places they love?

We are looking for a Green Spaces Project Officer to help make Teignbridge’s parks and green spaces safe, welcoming and well used by local people.

You will help build strong relationships with community groups, volunteers and residents, supporting them to care for and make the most of local green spaces. You will also support the management of parks, cemeteries and open spaces by monitoring contract delivery, helping ensure statutory responsibilities are met, supporting Green Flag applications and using survey and performance information to guide improvements.

We’re better together.

What matters most is that you can work well with people, manage varied tasks, use information to make good decisions and represent the Council positively. We are looking for someone who can communicate clearly with different audiences, build trust with community groups and partners, stay organised when priorities change, and use digital tools confidently.

You will enjoy working together as part of a team to deliver on our vision of making Teignbridge a healthy and desirable place where people want to live, work and visit.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
