Greenfield - Architect – Single Dealer Platform
This is a rare opportunity to take complete architectural ownership of a genuinely greenfield trading platform.
The business is building a new single dealer platform from the ground up, rather than replacing or maintaining a legacy estate. The successful architect will define the technical vision, establish the core architecture and make the key decisions that shape the platform for years to come.
The platform will provide institutional clients with access to pricing, liquidity, execution and post-trade services through a modern, scalable and highly resilient digital trading environment. You will work closely with senior stakeholders across Trading, Quant, Product and Technology to translate the commercial strategy into a practical engineering roadmap.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

See breakdownIt searches the market for you
Every day your agent scans the market matching roles against what actually matters to you, not just keywords on a CV.
Why you're a good match
You’ve got the grades and the economics background, and your bank internship is exactly the experience this scheme looks for. Apply soon — deadlines close within the month.
Experience fit
Your summer at the bank plus your econometrics coursework map directly to the day-one responsibilities on this scheme — client modelling, market briefings, and deal support.
Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
The role will cover areas such as:
- Overall platform and system architecture
- Real-time pricing, market data and execution workflows
- APIs, client connectivity and integration
- High availability, scalability and resilience
- Cloud and on-premise deployment strategy
- Security, observability and operational controls
- Technology selection and engineering standards
- Building and mentoring the initial engineering team
The attraction is the level of influence. You will not inherit an established architecture or be constrained by years of historic technology decisions. You will have the opportunity to select the technology stack, define how the platform is structured and create the engineering principles from day one.

The business has senior-level sponsorship, a clear commercial objective and the backing required to build the platform properly. It would suit an experienced architect or senior engineering leader who has previously built trading platforms, electronic execution systems, market data platforms or other complex real-time financial systems.
For someone who wants to move beyond incremental change and build a strategically important platform from first principles, this is an exceptional opportunity.
