Greenspace Project Manager
This role would suit a technically strong greenspace, landscape, estate, or countryside management professional who can combine site-based judgment with disciplined project delivery. The successful candidate will be comfortable inspecting works, managing contractors, reviewing technical information, and taking ownership of handover into long-term management.
Role Overview
As the Greenspace Project Manager, you will play a key role in delivering English Estates’ growing portfolio of environmental and countryside projects, including suitable alternative natural greenspaces, country parks, nature reserves, and biodiversity net gain projects. You will lead onboarding, technical assurance, handover, and initial aftercare, ensuring completed assets are ready for safe, compliant, and effective long-term operational management.
The role will primarily cover sites across the South and South West of England, including Devon, Gloucestershire, Hampshire, Surrey, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire, Sussex, Essex, and Wiltshire, with occasional travel to sites outside this area as required.
Working within the Environment & Biodiversity Team, you will help deliver high-quality greenspaces for communities and conservation. You will provide technical oversight from initial site assessment through to capital works delivery and the handover and aftercare maintenance arrangements.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
