Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Grid Connection Project Manager to oversee the delivery, adoption and energisation of a new 132/32 kV substation connecting a utility-scale solar PV park to the UK electricity network.
This is a senior client-side role involving the technical supervision of the appointed EPC/ICP contractor and close coordination with the DNO/Transmission Operator, asset owner, utilities, advisers and other project stakeholders.

- Lead engineering and design supervision for the grid connection and substation works
- Manage the connection process through commissioning, adoption and energisation
- Coordinate the ICP during the design and construction phases
- Review designs, technical submissions and project documentation
- Lead technical meetings with utilities, contractors and stakeholders
- Produce design-review reports, meeting minutes and progress documentation
- Coordinate third-party technical advisers and support the asset owner
Essential Requirements
- Must be based in the United Kingdom
- Must be available to travel to Hasland, Chesterfield, at least monthly and when required at key project stages
- Demonstrable experience delivering 132 kV or comparable HV substations
- Proven UK grid-connection, DNO/Transmission Operator and ICP experience
- Experience within utility-scale solar, renewable energy or power infrastructure
- Strong technical, project-management and stakeholder-coordination capabilities
- Availability to commence on or around 1 August 2026
