Role – Grid Connection Construction Project Manager

Location – UK

Mint Selection are partnered with a leading renewable energy developer to recruit an experienced Grid Connection Construction Project Manager for a major UK project.

The position will oversee the grid connection and high-voltage infrastructure works from notice to proceed through to completion. You will manage contractor performance, coordinate key interfaces and keep the programme on track through construction, testing, energisation and handover.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the grid connection contractor and hold them to their programme and contractual commitments.
• Maintain a clear view of the critical path, upcoming deliverables, decisions, dependencies and risks.
• Coordinate interfaces between grid connection works, transformer supply, solar EPC contractors and cable route works.
• Work with grid stakeholders to track testing and pre-energisation requirements.
• Review contractor programmes, identify delays early and drive recovery plans where required.
• Coordinate contractor submissions and approvals, ensuring actions have clear owners and deadlines.
• Chair contractor meetings and maintain accurate action, risk, issue and decision logs.
• Work with the Contracts Manager on changes, notices, milestones and payments.
• Report on safety, programme, progress, cost, quality and key decisions.
• Escalate significant issues with a clear assessment of the impact and recommended action.
