Roc Search are currently recruiting for an experienced Grid Delivery Manager to join a growing UK renewable energy development team, supporting the delivery of utility-scale Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage (BESS) projects across the UK.
Overview
This is a key delivery position focused on HV grid connections up to 132kV, working closely with construction, project delivery teams, DNOs and ICP/EPC contractors to ensure projects are delivered successfully through to energisation.
Role and Responsibilities
As Grid Delivery Manager, you will take responsibility for the construction and delivery of HV grid connection works, including substations, HV cabling and energisation activities. Key responsibilities include:

- Managing the delivery of HV grid connections up to 132kV.
- Coordinating ICP/EPC contractors and electrical construction activities.
- Acting as the key interface between project teams, DNOs and network operators.
- Overseeing substation, HV cabling and grid connection works.
- Supporting projects through energisation, commissioning and handover.
- Monitoring project programmes, progress and contractor performance.
- Ensuring delivery complies with CDM, HSE and site safety requirements.
- Working closely with construction and project delivery teams to resolve issues and maintain programme.

Skills and Experience
- Proven experience delivering 33kV–132kV grid connections.
- A background in HV construction, electrical construction, grid delivery or HV project management.
- Experience working with DNOs, ICPs and EPC contractors.
- Strong understanding of grid connection, energisation and commissioning processes.
- Knowledge of CDM and HSE requirements.
- Renewable energy, grid infrastructure or HV contractor experience.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly.
