Grid Project Manager
Utility Scale Solar / BESS Developer London (hybrid)
Circular Resourcing are recruiting for a Grid Project Manager to join an established Solar / BESS Developer moving projects beyond development into Delivery / Construction.
You will manage several utility scale Solar / BESS projects (30-50MW in size), working closely with the development, commercial and technical teams within the business.
Salary: £70k - £90k plus bonus/benefits (possibly negotiable for right candidate)
Location: London – hybrid (3 days a week in the office)
THE ROLE
The Grid Project Manager will be responsible for delivering projects on time, budget, and to our quality and Health & Safety standards. You will support the execution of UK construction projects and be responsible for reporting, schedule, budget management/forecasting and cost control, progress, construction document management, etc. The role requires interaction and coordination with EPC’s, ICP’s, DNO’s on-site personnel, and multiple business units.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Project Management of multiple Interconnection utility scale projects
- Full ownership and responsibility for the delivery of each project on time, budget, and to our quality and Health & Safety standards
- Management of EPC’s, ICP’s, and internal and external stakeholders
- Negotiating EPC / ICP contracts
- Project Based Reporting on: Construction progress, contractor performance, tracking budget and forecasting, quality inspections, H&S, etc.
- Negotiate ICP/EPC Contracts
- Control and manage the development and approval of the engineering and design of the projects
- Control equipment manufacturing schedules
- Support Development and M&A activities with relevant E&C input
- Run RFP’s for upcoming construction progress

Desired Skills
- Comprehensive understanding of UK grid connection processes, regulations, and standards
- Strong knowledge of renewable energy technologies, with a focus on solar and energy storage systems
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to travel to various project sites as needed along with a valid driver's license and clean driving record
