Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Grounds Maintenance / Landscape Operative role based in Nottingham. The role involves routine grounds maintenance tasks such as grass cutting, hedge trimming, weeding, and general gardening to keep outdoor areas clean, safe, and presentable. The operative will use hand tools and machinery safely, follow health and safety procedures, and work both independently and as part of a team. The position may also involve occasional support for playground installations, site clean-up, and interaction with site managers or clients to ensure work is completed to a high standard.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess skills in Landscape Maintenance and Landscaping, including experience maintaining commercial or residential outdoor spaces.
- Candidates should possess Gardening skills, such as planting, pruning, turf care, and general horticultural knowledge.
- Candidates should possess Irrigation skills, including basic knowledge of watering systems, schedule management, and efficient water use.
- Candidates should possess Landscape Design awareness or experience, with the ability to understand plans and contribute to layout and planting ideas.
- Full UK driving license or ability to travel reliably to sites in and around Nottingham.
- Understanding of health and safety practices, including safe use of tools, machinery, and personal protective equipment.
- Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work in varying weather conditions and to follow instructions accurately.
- Previous experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, or a related trade is beneficial; relevant vocational qualifications or certifications are an advantage.
