If so, look no further, we are looking for a Parks and Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our vital service ensuring Selby is clean and welcoming for its residents, businesses and visitors to enjoy.

The Role

As a Parks and Grounds Maintenance Operative you will be responsible for maintaining our high-quality open spaces including parks, highways, play areas and recreational spaces across Selby. This will be by undertaking grass cutting, general grounds maintenance duties.

You will be based at our Prospect Way Depot, Selby. We will also supply you with full PPE for various machines and associated clothing.

Working hours are 42 hours per week in Summer (07:00 to 16:00 - Monday to Thursday 07:00 to 15:30 - Friday) and 32 hours in Winter (07:30 to 16:00 Monday to Thursday or Tuesday to Friday)

What You Will Bring

All you need is effective interpersonal and communication skills, a commitment to delivering a high-quality standard, and the ability to work with others within the team. Ideally, we are looking for someone with experience working in an outdoor environment, but this is not essential as full training will be provided.

A full clean driving licence is desirable.
