Grounds Maintenance Supervisor
Location: March, PE15 0AX
Salary: £30,000
Contract type: Permanent
Working hours: 40 hours a week - Monday - Friday, 07:30-16:00
About the role
We are seeking a motivated Grounds Maintenance Supervisor to join our team in March. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure that all designated areas meet high contract standards through effective hands-on horticultural practices and management. You will play a key role in creating and maintaining visually appealing landscapes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise day-to-day operations and allocate work to team members.
- Lead by example by undertaking operational duties alongside the workforce.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Monitor productivity and work quality, providing guidance and support where required.
- Carry out site inspections and safety checks.
- Complete relevant paperwork, records, and reports accurately and on time.
- Liaise with management, customers, and stakeholders regarding operational requirements.
- Ensure vehicles, tools, and equipment are maintained and used correctly.
- Support training and development of team members.
- Promote a positive safety culture and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Essential Requirements:
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Minimum 2 years' previous experience in a supervisory or team leader role.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong commitment to health and safety.
Desirable:
- PA1 and PA6 spraying certificates.
- Experience within grounds maintenance, horticulture, landscaping, environmental services, or a similar operational environment.
- First Aid trained.
