Description: Full Time / 37 Hours Per Week / Permanent
Join our Parks and Open Spaces Grounds Maintenance team who maintain and further improve parks, housing land, highways land, open spaces and all other green infrastructure within the city of Leicester. Under the guidance of the Local Area Manager, you'll manage your dedicated team of Craft Gardeners who undertake high quality horticultural work and grounds maintenance work.
This is a full-time permanent position working 37 hours per week. Based at Knighton Park depot, you'll be prepared to work in all weather conditions.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a confident gardener and supervisor, you'll operate and maintain hand and mechanical specialist equipment as well as prepare and apply chemicals such as herbicides, fungicides, insecticides etc. You'll make Leicester’s green infrastructure free of barriers to access, by helping to maintain its horticultural features as well as hard landscape features including buildings. You'll provide advice and support to customers using our facilities.

What You’ll Need
With substantial previous experience in either horticulture or groundsmanship, you'll have experience in using specialist equipment and applying pesticides. You'll be able to effectively lead your team, by providing expert advice, guidance and support, as well manage performance.
A full UK driving licence is essential for this role as you'll be expected to undertake driving duties.
